Took the opportunity to get some unusual vistas of the city this weekend during Doors Open Toronto which highlights architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings around the city. Had intended to join the guided tour with journalist and photographer Terry Murray, but it was over-booked, so instead my friends and I ventured off on our own to check out the buildings around the City Hall area and the financial district. We’ve all been in and around these area many times over the years but were amazed/amused to realize how we hadn’t really paid much attention to the beauty in the artistic details on these buildings.
