Creating a consistent brand identity
The Yoga Sanctuary had been using the “Yoga Guy” graphic for a number of years. We wanted to keep this recognizable icon and add a wordmark that could become the definitive identity for them across all communications – flyers, newsletters, signage, and of course, the website.
In doing this we created a single harmonized element that brought the words and the icon together, creating a strong visual identity.
Now these elements, along with the colour-story can be used consistently to represent the brand.
Delivering a fresh face for their web presence
Having been in business since the late 90’s the YOGA sanctuary has had a few different websites over the years. The previous version of their website was not mobile responsive and had layout and design weaknesses throughout.

The web project was not only about making the pages look more appealing, but also about creating a proper page flow. In some cases that meant combining 2 or three pages into one so users can get to the info they need quickly. In other cases it meant adding pages to the site to provide clear information on various types of classes and workshops.

Using more images and modern web design elements like buttons and toggles created a more user-friendly website with much stronger visual appeal.
A more business-friendly address – from .net to .ca
It was also time to change the URL for the company, updating from a .net domain to a .ca domain, which is more suitable for a company providing local business services in Canada. This meant having to address and manage every technical detail related to changing domain names, from setting up new email addresses to setting up proper redirects to retain SEO ranking for the company website. We also moved web hosting to a company more suitable for running WordPress with solid customer support.
Using these new elements to promote
Now that a proper logo and modern website are in place the YOGA sanctuary has the elements they need to grow their brand into the future. These elements can be used in tons of ways to communicate and advertise in a consistent and visually appealing way.
