TOMMY THOMPSON PARK
Tommy Thompson Park a.k.a. The Leslie Spit is unlike any other Toronto park because of its rugged, wild atmosphere. It grew up out of an abandoned outer harbour project and was used as a dumping grounds for Toronto building projects in the 70’s. Several bird and wildlife species took up residence on the man-made spit and it has now become a significant wildlife habitat.
