The Royal Ontario Museum has become of the most iconic buildings in Toronto, thanks to the addition to the original building by architect Daniel Libeskind. The addition, called the Michael Lee-Chin "Crystal" has been very controversial. Many find the contrast between its harsh angular steel and glass design and the original neo-romanesque building a little hard to take. It's definitely jarring, but I love anything with a strong sense of juxtaposition, so I'm in the "like it" crowd.
Like it or not, it's definitely an attention grabber, and a photographer favourite.
